LL Cool J is rock?
Deep Purple. KISS and Peter Gabriel are my favorites this year.

How many are chosen?

Musts in the Hall from this list -- as they are the longest NOT to be where they deserve!

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Deep Purple
Peter Gabriel
LINK WRAY!
Linda Ronstadt--a legend that has to be there!
Cat Stevens
YES
THE ZOMBIES---really?!! Not there yet?! Come on guys of the Hall--get it together!!

Thanks, Moni!

Of course that's too many for one year...

At least -

Deep Purple
Linda Ronstadt
LINK WRAY
The Zombies
The Butterfield Blues Band

Three only?

Link Wray
Butterfield Blues Band-Elektra's first electric interracial band
The Zombies

"Rest in Peace. Link Wray was one of the true
Original guitar players of this century(20th & 21st), his innovations
can be heard in almost every rock song today."

Fred Lincoln "Link" Wray Jr (May 2, 1929 –
November 5, 2005) was an American rock and roll
guitarist, songwriter and vocalist who first came
to popularity in the late 1950s.

Building on the overdriven, distorted electric guitar
sound of early electric blues records, his 1958
instrumental hit "Rumble" by Link Wray and his Ray
Men introduced "the power chord, the major
modus operandi of modern rock guitarists," making
possible "punk and heavy rock."Rolling Stone placed Wray
at number 45 of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
In 2013 he was announced as a nominee for the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame.

Every year when I see the list of nominations, I am amazed to see so many legendary bands/artists that have not been inducted yet.

Though I do like Nirvana. I think it is to early for them.
When you got bands like you mentioned in your post, that deserve to have been inducted a long time ago.

Curious as to who is gonna win this year. :)
