THE DOORS SINGLES BOX JAPAN EDITION.

Post by knowtheword »

Tell all the people from TOKYO.

I take confidence and pride and inform the whole world beyond the DOORS.
The 1st time ever in the world,THE DOORS SINGLES BOX JAPAN EDITION (14 CD set(WPCR-14801-14) June 26th on sale in Japan, limited edition.
I did comprehensive editional supervision,writing liner notes,data
offer for this box since September 2012.
Contains all 14 Japanese original singles released in Japan on 1967
to 1972,were reproduced as 2 tracks CD faithfully with original size
picture sleeves.

http://amass.jp/21261

(Cautions:Some inaccurate description is included)

However the following 17 cuts are not included.

BOT(m),EOTN(m),LM2T(ed-m),MLD(ed-m),WS,WSY,RHB(ed-m),YMMR(m),
SWS,ITEOTS,TPB,GR,RHB(ed-live),AA,Grolia(ed),MLD(live),LMF(ed-live)

Because these Japanese singles do not exsist OR it is not a singles
of the time when the doors existed as a permanent band.

I carried out the duty as the biggest Doors' fan in Japan.
So,an American JDM prayers, next is your turn!
I expect to release of THE COMPLETE SINGLES COLLECTION 1967-1987
which at least 42 cuts included, also put in the promo mono version
of EK45646 as a bonus.

I will appear on the small talk show about this box and JDM on
SAPPORO on July 2nd.I would like many fans to come after studying
Japanese.

Thanx.

> In addition, only fans with guts should buy this box,
All boxes are shipped from JAPAN after 311,you know I mean?

Got this one when it was released. It was a pleasure to spin each CD, but it's something you can only do once in awhile as it's time consuming to pull out and replace each CD for two songs.

@Buda: I'm pretty busy these days - but over at The Doors homepage there are some pretty good pics of the artwork etc.

Thanks Mystery for the link, now I remember its look. Looks great though somehow I got irritated by the Doors logo located on the front of the box set. Why the hell they just can't stay with the original concept...
