Day 1
I was busy the day of the 24th of August and therefore skipped breakfast (which was when I wrote the Fitness Diary) but then met up with my good mate, Laura Kelley, for lunch at Shakey's Pizza Parlor.  I know this was testing my calorie count but it's our tradition each month.  And besides, she's lost nearly 15 pounds herself so we deserved a break.  I had 3 veggie slices and 1 pineapple (with ham) slice.  Also, I had a salad with ranch dressing.  This was around 1:30pm.  I bicycled to Shakey's, which was 3.5 miles up and 3.5 miles back.
the pizza was combined 800 calories (i didn't eat the crust and used a knife and fork and kinda picked around some of the cheese).  the salad with the dressing came in about 210 calories.  We ended lunch about 2:30.  I biked it home and by 3pm i'd consumed a total of:
For dinner i'd marinated a cut up chicken (minus 1 breast, which i used for tacos the night before) with potatoes and carrots, coriander and thyme.  placed in a glass pot w/ glass cover and placed in oven at 325F.  Also added about 3/4 cup of water to bottom of dish.  Chicken came in about 200 calories.  the potatoe was about 110 and the carrots were around 47 calories.  that's a total of 357 calories for dinner.  i also had a pint of lager (150 calories) with dinner.  So, by the end of dinner i had consumes 507 calories PLUS 1,110 calories for a total of:
I had 2 more pints for the night at 150 calories each, which had me at about 1,817 Calories.  i also did another 1 mile bike ride before dinner, which is worth mentioning.  I don't know if that matters but i thought i'd throw that in there.  Also, nearly forgot; i had a cup of coffee this morning with Soy Milk.  Ground coffee has no fat and no calories just so you know.  The spoonful of soy milk was about 13 calories.  Before bed I had half a cucumber (sliced, at 10 calories)  and all told, for the entire day:
(ten calories below my target.  not bad.)

all the best, Mike
