Frank Lisciandro's Books

We're lucky to have former Doors road manager Vince Treanor here to answer fan questions and share some of his memories. Ask Vince about anything related to the equipment The Doors used, stage set-ups, specific concerts, the band after Jim's death, and working on the Oliver Stone movie.

Hi Vince, I wondering what your detailed thoughts on Frank's Books on Jim "An Hour for Magic" and "Feast Of Friends"? you participate in one the chapters in the 2nd book "An Allegory" how did that come about?.

I think these books are excellent and show the poet and film maker side of jim, the human side of the man.

The writings of Frank

Post by vince »

I have not seen the books that Frank has published. Knowing Frank, as I do, I have no doubt that they are really high quality. He is a damned good photographer as well as being top as a film maker.

Something many do not know is that Frank worked for quite some time producing films for L.A. COunty and di a really fine job of it from the films I saw.

Having neither seen nor read any of his publications I cannot comment. I am sure that he did me well. I liked Frank and spent a lot of time with him during the editing of both Feast of Friends and Jim's Highway.
