Technical problems at past Doors concerts

We're lucky to have former Doors road manager Vince Treanor here to answer fan questions and share some of his memories. Ask Vince about anything related to the equipment The Doors used, stage set-ups, specific concerts, the band after Jim's death, and working on the Oliver Stone movie.

Technical problems at past Doors concerts

Post by StrangeNightOfStone »

Hi Vince
What was the most common technical difficulty the Doors would encounter when playing live? There is one circulating show from 1967 when Jim's microphone cuts in and out- It cut out at times during the 1968 Stockholm show as well. In Toronto 1969, Ray was having troubles with one of his keys on his keyboard....
Were there any shows where Ray's keyboard or Robby's guitar didn't have any juice at all, where the amps weren't working, or where the mike was dead for the whole show?
Did you encounter technical glitches that you were able to fix at the last second?
