Barneys Beanery

We're lucky to have former Doors road manager Vince Treanor here to answer fan questions and share some of his memories. Ask Vince about anything related to the equipment The Doors used, stage set-ups, specific concerts, the band after Jim's death, and working on the Oliver Stone movie.

Yeah Barney's Beanery! Nice place. At night the place is packed with students. At least that was when I was there. Had a great time with my friend Todd. Brings back good memories. Thank you Stuart.

Hope Vince also has some fun memories of the place to share with us.

Great place! The food is incredible! I had never been there until last Jan when my Doors tribute played the House of Blues. Decided to walk around that area before the show with our drummer, we went into Bienvenuto where I checked out the famous bathroom. We ended up eating at the Beanery and Jim's picture was staring down at me. I could hear him saying not to f up the music. Great place.

There's No Beans in Boston, Dad!

OMG - What do I do now. Oh, for shame and worry. How can I say this, guys, Oh the humanity of it all.

I was in Barney's only once with some out of towners who wanted to see the sights. I didn't meet Jim there - no revealing conversations except in the Doors office in the morning when I would catch Jim after he slept on the couch.

That was a sort of "In" place during that time. Trendy, the place to go to see and be seen. I usually kept away from places like that.

You know that as a general rule people who live in a city rarely get to see the "Spots". I am not sure why. I know more about China, Taiwan, Korean than I do about LA.
