thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise
the colonizers of dreams.

A woman drove me to drink.....
and I didn't even have the decency to thank her.

I like children--fried.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit.
There's no point in being a damn fool about it.

I really like that first one.....of course I would need to change it to "man". but at any rate....

I have a WC Fields bourbon holder thing included in my beer stein collection display i have. It is the absolute ugliest thing I probably own. Poor guy was ugly as sin. I swear.....everyone comments on that damn thing. Makes for good convo though.....

Not as good as that Morrison toilet seat that was posted on ebay I am sure...

Sounds like a great stein, Lauren!!.

I love WC and his movies. I don't think he would have been near as funny if he HADN"T been ugly as sin......part of every joke was WC himself....can you see any "better looking" comedian pulling off those jokes. Of course, he wrote his own material and scripts....how many comedians can say that?

....."I drink therefore I am". --WC

A funny (tragic) man....the best comedians are often & sadly a combination of those two elements. This sums up the other side of WC Fields' life.....

When we have lost everything, including hope, life becomes
a disgrace, and death a duty.

He left us his humor and some pretty cool beer steins!!

Ya, a decanter. I could not think of the word yesterday  And it sits with all my steins....so I just called it that.

The hat has a cork and you just pull it out....so ya the whole hat comes off.

lol---no bourbon in it......if the day ever comes that I actually enjoy bourbon...then maybe. Till then I'll stick with my tried and true hops and grapes

P.S.-..Nice avatar there James!!! haha

Not a qoute but from a song.

Dip your feet into the ocean.
Let the sun beat on your skin.
Soak in every emotion,
that you never thought you'd live.
And never take for granted,
every breath you're breathing in.
Go everywhere you've never been.

Might be a good way to wish everybody a good night and a great day.
Ciao for today.

With the news of Sarah Pailin leaving, I just have too...

No political meaning or anything just a little laugh. I mean the woman made my eyebrows rise several times in the campagne.
Just a small collection. There's so much to chose from.
