Anyone here see Arthur Lee/Love live? If so, when and where?

LOVE was another great band from the 60's and of course VERY Doors related.
I think it would be great to have this special topic about the band who was such a big example for The Doors.

I caught Arthur Lee live twice, in Cambridge MA back in the 1990s- I think his backing band was called 'Das damen', or something like that- but he was booked as 'Arthur Lee & Love'. I remember the gig at the Middle East Club, the place was so small, arthur was an arm reach away...I lost my pictures, but a bunch were printed in an issue of the Love zine 'The Castle'.
At one Arthur Lee gig I attended, he was cobilled with Manzrek/McClure, and oddly Arthur and Ray avoided one another....
A busy night..the Grateful Dead were in town the same night...

I saw Arthur four times.Amsterdam-Utrecht and twice in Rotterdam in 2002 and 2003, or was it 04...?
It was such a great moment to meet and talk to Arthur. Here's a review I wrote after I saw my first LOVE gig:

Thank you, Ed!!

Johnny is also a hidden treasure here! Could we include a permanent link here somehow, directly to his stories?
I for one, seem to always bypass your home page and go directly to the forum.

Are you kidding me, roughie?! How many here have never gone to the freedomman home page?

You have missed a fine piece of art depicting Ed with his best drinking buddies--
Arthur and Jim!!

Geeze guys...check out the home page!!! Problem is...there is NO direct link from the forum back to the home page, Ed!!

 :/

How would you add that to your forum page so it would link back when clicked on, Ed?

No, I am not joking... this time! I was given the link to this board from someone so that's how I never knew about the homepage, and like you said, there is no link to it, so how would I? A link from here to the homepage would be really great Mr Freed...

I have been there now :)
