What a good day!

Post by Roughie »

WOW! What a good day, went to check the mail and there was an unexpected package for me and inside was a hard back book. The Doors by William Ruhlmann!!!!!! It was sent to me by a family friend who I had know idea he knew I like the Doors. Looks like I owe him now!

Haven't read it yet, as I have literally only just got it. But there are some great photos in it, most are the usual, but there are some I haven't seen before.

What a good day!!!!!!!

So far I am enjoying it.

It says Ray is born in 35 although he has given it as 39 and 42!

Ok so I have finished reading it. It is a pleasant read and basically an overview of the band and the times etc. Doesn't go into too much detail and is more of a photo book than anything. I really enjoyed it.

Three things stuck out for me...

Ray listed as being born in 35.

The counts name is listed as De Bretti.

It says that there was a box set of Doors material that came out in 1991. Is there such a box set????

That's how faaaaaaast thing are going for some Doors releases.

It kinda reminds me a couple of other more recent releases: What are their names?
Maa..., Maaat..., Maaatrix?
Isle of..., of... , of Wight?

Hilarious.... and sad!

So if we take that example, then the next box set, which was probably gonna be 2013, will more than likely be 2019!!!!

kerrin, i don't think so, we have better deliver times now, the usual delay is 3 or 4 years, no more
