"Black Beauty" interview on NPR...DOORS ref

LOVE was another great band from the 60's and of course VERY Doors related.
I think it would be great to have this special topic about the band who was such a big example for The Doors.

"Black Beauty" interview on NPR...DOORS ref

Post by jamestkirk »

A great interview with John Einarson and drummer Joe Blocker (for Love's Black Beauty)

There is a brief reference to DOORS opening for Love at the Whiskey @ 14:30 minutes.

"This fall, a once-lost album from the band Love will finally see the light of day. The psychedelic rock group, led by the late songwriter Arthur Lee, is best known for its 1967 epic, “Forever Changes.” But now, a rare 1973 album called “Black Beauty” (which featured the band in an all-black lineup) will finally get its official release. Joining us to shed light on this missing chapter in the book of Love are musician Joe Blocker -- who played drums in the band -- and music writer John Einarson."

Very nice.
