Black leather suit, white poet shirt and curly hair
Well, readers of this message board, I thought I'd share some sort of
different story with you.
Actually one day while I was visiting my parents and stayed overnight,
my brother said to me at breakfast:
"Your hair really looks like Morrison's"
I said "What ?!?"
Must be because when you hop out of the bed in the morning,
hair usually looks different before you do the matutinal
refreshment
You have to know I really got those big natural curls and were growing
my hair a bit longer that time.
Didn't really know much of the Doors or Morrison back in these days.
Of course I had heard some of the Doors songs, but never really paid
attention to the lyrics, nor was I aware of the myth behind. More
on this a bit later.
So I started to dig a bit more into that stuff and indeed, at least
the hairstyle was really quite similar. I also have to admit, that
after I got that "knowledge" I really liked the idea and made
it my normal style during day & business.
In the morning, I only wash my hair now, but never comb it
You can't believe how much time this is saving me as I just said
"Adieu" to my blow dryer and just air dry them. No need to do
any elaborate style attempts anymore, no need of brush and
conditioner anymore. Just as natural as they grow.
As with the time, I started to get real interested to explore the
story of the Doors and of course the the personal story of "The
Man"
I got so fanscinated, I really consider myself as a big fan
nowadays, and the Doors is the only band I was ever
really interested in. They are so different!
So what I do now from time to time is to dress myself in
a black leather suit with incredibly tight pants and a loose
white poet shirt. Usually when I got for party on the
weekend or to attend festivals or rock concerts.
I can tell you this is really attracting people's attention
and my very own way to keep the memories of Jim
alive. This is proactive memorabilia if you want to call
it this way.
Since I am quite tall & slim and further have been told
by others that they consider me as pretty handsome,
I'm really enjoying the eyes of the girls.
Probably you think & feel what I do is pathetic, but I can tell
you I do not feel embarrassed about it as the anonymity of
the Internet makes it possible to talk freely about it here.
Maybe it is really some sort of fetish I have developed with
this over the time. I got a lot of self-consciousness too.
So this is my "cool memorabilia" ... hope you like it anyway.
If I don't get dissed too much, I may also tell the story later
how I use Doors/Morrison derived lyrics in serious business
presentations in a quite subtle way.
