Hi Mon, so good to have you here! Unfortunately, it's a rarity now. We sure miss you.
The forum is now different in certain aspects and I sense we miss here some of our old parallel fun (and funny) conversations. Some important and dinamic people are missing in action and you are (statistics don't lie...) one of the most important ones. Scott is for sure the one member that most contribute for this forum with the brilliance of his knowledge and excellence in good musical taste. We give so little return to your posts, huh Scott? But we sure enjoy them.

Mon, I hope you get full recovery from your health issues. That is the most important issue.

Thanks for your wishes I wish you also happy holidays and especially a great 2013

Hey Victor, thank you for your kind words. Not sure I deserve them. I made a lot of post in the past that's true. Mostly in the photo topic if I am not mistaken. But I never had the knowledge of you guys.
That's why I am not on much anymore I guess. I got so little to offer. I did quiet buying Doors photo's. I've got absolutely nothing to share that you guys allready don't have. In fact I lost all my boots due to constant computer problems. Don't get me started on that oef. :(
What I'm trying to say though. Is that I have a hard time knowing how to contribute to the forum. I don't know how to respond to topics as I am completely out of the loop with the Doors news lately. But I for sure will try and especially read all your posts. I have and will again learn so much from you all. And I love this place.
And I agree with you V. Scott is amazing. I hope he knows that.
His posts always were and still are full of info and a pleasure to read.
I hope he continues!
I heard he even broke my record of posts lol. Now who would have thought that would ever happen? lol. Just kidding. Loves it.

Thanks for your kind wishes and words Victor and all best wishes for Christmas and the new year too. That all good may come your way.
:)
And I will try to get started on reading topics on the forum tonight. When I have more time. Looking forward to it. :)

hey sweet Moni, tried to email. PM me.

All's well. You like;y know I'm finally home in Maine. I was upset to hear of your health issues but it sounds like it's getting better for you.
Stay well and happy.

I had no idea I had so many posts. Of course, some might tell me to get a life! But when it's all about the music, it is LIFE we've got.

What I, and SF are referring to, is that what we miss in you is the willingness to talk about everything, not just the DOORS. We miss those threads about the books we love, the food we relish, the photos of exotic & cherished locales, our favorite cars (like Shelby's, Dan), and even a certain infamous tree  in Dan's backyard.

Yeah we miss Dan as the moderator too, though we Love LEN!, and the willingness of members to talk about interests beyond the DOORS. It was a shared interest in the DOORS that gave us a base to expand on....nothing but DOORS can be pretty dull...sorry, guys.

So we try to keep it lively, but we need help. So share more of your love of life again, Moni, Dan, (and we miss more from you Ed!), Nicole, and all who seem to have faded away...what is life but music, and what is music but life.

Keep listening and you'll never grow old.

(forgive my long ramble, but then...I'm a 60's hippie....and after all, old hippies never die, the just ramble on.

Hi Scott,

I will pm you with my email.
It's good to hear all is going well with you Scott. And indeed I remember that you went back to Maine. Beautiful Maine. :)
Health issues are sadly not gone. I now have to wait until January for my appointment and then see what is gonna happen. But don't get me wrong. I am not dying here or anything. Nothing like that.
But it does have a great impact on my life sadly.

Hmm I think I need to ask about that tree. I don't know about a infamous tree lol.
I get what you are saying about the diverse topics. Everyone would join in. It absolutely was a joy. :) And I will try to share more too.
And I agree. Len does a great job as a mod here. And I love his new Doors site. ( Doors guide) I've seen it. And for sure keep checking back.
And for Dan. Dan was a great mod. So devoted and with so much care. And he knows. Be sure I have told him that several times.

My favorite hippie. Thank you! And lots of love to you. And gonna listen to ramble on. Great song!

What?! I haven't noticed that James is now nº 1. So you are trying to get back your place, Mon?
You should have done it earlier James! That would have made Mon comeback earlier to this forum

I'm a little bit surprised about what you are saying, Mon. I'm sure you know that here in this forum we contribute differently according to our knowledge, interests, possibilities, time. And there's no problem about that. For instance, now I have very little time. Lots of work. I lost possibility to prepare and post here some elaborate posts like I used to do it in the past. Also, I'm not a collector so there are threads here that I don't post and even don't read. But that's fine. Most of my posts are not that informative but sometimes I feel fine just to exchange opinions about some trivial matters. And yes, we always learned a lot about our favourite band and many others.

We have here a unique feeling of talking with friends without expecting nonsense attacks. This is not an idiot lounge forum. Even if episodically we had some bad feelings (it happened with me too), it's OK. We know that this will be solved and the good vibes will comeback. For me this forum is home in terms of internet and I feel warm and in peace when I'm here.

In conclusion, I hope, I wish, you will fight hard with James for the nº1 place
I checked and I noticed I'm nº 3... I did post a lot too. But let me make clear that I'm not a in the competition with both of you.

ps: if you want to rebuild you boot collection I'm sure you will get a massive contribution from all the people from this forum. Let me know what you want to have back. If I have it then it's yours.

Noooo I wont be fighting for my place. I wouldn't have even known if Dan had not told me.
I do hope to join in some more though. I'll try. That's for sure. :)
And I for sure know this is not idiot forum. I have a huge respect for the people here. I really do.
It's just hard sometimes to know what and how to post. I haven't been active on any forum in a long time. So it all feels new again for me to be honest. And I mean what I say that I have no bad feelings to anyone on the forum. I am sure when looking back now, I must admit I acted like an idiot sometimes. To damn emotional moi.

Btw I love your posts. And it is good to hear you are being busy. With the crisis going on in Europe this is good news! :)

To get back on topics. I am not listening to anything yet. Just woke up. First coffee.

YES! Legendary guitarist AND producer on a couple of my all time favorites too: Gene Clark (Gene and Jesse were good friends)--"White Light" & No Other". If I recall right, your family knew Jesse?

ULULU is a favorite and has classic Beatles overtones...Jesse's friendship and association with George Harrison (and involvement on a Lennon and Starr album too)
