Not that I don't have anything else on my mind (well, currently) but thought I ask you fellas, any of you got hooked on this series and wait for this sunday with a little bit more anticipation than usual?

Yes! It's my favorite show on TV! I can't believe they left us hanging for nearly an entire year, but now it's back! I'm not going to get to watch the first showing, because I'll be working, but I'll watch the repeat when I get home.

I guess we can say it was worth the wait. They are definitely not shooting all their rockets and the tempo is at mid level (still we got the Hank+Walt collision yet now). If not a masterpiece but a powerful debut and I don't think we could miss a thing. Considering all the murders and what he went through, Jesse's level of depression is not surprising at all but it was quite irritating to me, especially his issue with money.. guess we are seeing the first signs of why Walt will choose to finish off Jess the same way as he did with Mike... 9/10

I had the same reaction as you did to Jesse in this episode. I'm glad it wasn't just me. It's cool that they didn't make us wait for a confrontation between Walt and Hank. It was pretty intense. What did you make of the flash forward scene in the abandoned White home and the reaction of the next door neighbor? I wonder why the house is abandoned. What happened to his family? The fact that "Heisenberg" is spray painted on the wall and the reaction of the neighbor indicates that he is well known. I wonder why Walt went back to take the ricen out of the power socket. Is it to keep someone else from finding it or is he planning to use it on somebody? Maybe himself in case he's cornered?

I think he got cornered by the clan he recently made a pact with and naturally for various reasons he failed to live up to their expectations (that's why he also got that big gun in the same previous flashforward). The ricin is part of this plan but in my view it is for making silent a witness (Jesse? Skyler?!) but I doubt it will be used as a suicide attempt as Vince promised everything but a smooth death/end for Walt.

He could have faked his death after his name became known widely and I guess that explains Carol, his neighbour's shocking reaction upon recognising him, I mean Heisenberg. But at this point he probably doesn't give a shit about it as what he plans will end everything anyway and sooner than the public, incl. the cops would catch up to this fact. That is my two cents and what we are heading to in my view.

Ugh, my dad and my brother have begun watching it from the start. They are watching during the day and night, its their new thing. I don't get it. I don't approve of the premise of it; it is giving the impression that somehow its OK to sell meth if you are dying and wanting to leave a legacy for your family. My dad says that I'm missing the point of it and I wonder what I'm missing if thats the entire point of it. Isn't it?

Oh well, if they enjoy this questionable form of entertainment then thats what matters I guess.

Anyway, I haven't seen it, except the part where the guy shaves his head and pees bleed as a result of chemo

After this I thought I'd seen enough, lol.

I've just started to watch this series on Netflix. I'm on season 3. Acting is uniformly excellent. Writing is uniformly excellent.

However, it is starting to draaaaaag some. I'm amazed this series got to a season 5. But I'm very curious now to see how this story continues to unfold as I make my way to eventually watching season 5.

The only contrived piece of the story for me lies with the DEA character. I mean, you already had Weeds, which had a mini episode that included a DEA person. And the fact that Skyler's sister's husband is with the DEA was just too contrived for me.

But whatever. It's entertaining and I look forward to each new episode.
