I live in Switzerland, 52, introduced to the Doors in 1979, collecting since 1981 (on and off).
I collect actively LPs/12" vinyl and have just finished my collection of all known-to-me official reel-to-reel tapes (anybody else collects them?)
Further I have a collection of about 50 45s, some 4- and 8-Track Cartridges, cassettes, books, posters and other stuff, but I don't actively search for them.
I do not collect anything digital about The Doors - just not interested
- My collection of 300 vinyl records can be found on Discogs - for you as a visitor it's a little bit messy, but you'll get an idea: https://www.discogs.com/de/user/thomas. ... 0&header=1
In 2012 I made a video about my collection of official and unofficial relelases: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YO-pJxqoZA (of course it's bigger today)
My most valued and cherished item would be the Strange Days Album on the Hit-Ton label, which I could buy from the son of a deceased Hit-Ton factory worker.
My probably rarest item is a DJ copy for the entertainment of the unknown soldiers in Vietnam: https://www.discogs.com/Doors-The-Jeffe ... se/5239728 (please let me know if you have further information about this...)
My most searched for item is the Swiss Morrison Hotel edition. I have made a Facebook-Page about it (https://www.facebook.com/SwissMorrisonHotel/). The introduction article is in german and english here: https://www.facebook.com/36732077665410 ... 519929066/
Thank you for reading and I welcome any messages, questions or suggestions. Thomas
