Just watched the clip of Jim you posted Lmg.
I'm a bit in

. Though it's very well done and somehow I like the effect used on his voice but the music on the background is a no no to me.
Thanks for posting. Got to admire people being creative with Jim's work

Within You, Without You.......BEATLES.....mono of course, with the up-front extended laughter ending.
Paul's masterful bass on Peppers --on the other tracks-- is so upfront with the MONO. I recommend the MONO Peppers to everyone that loves the bass, as played better here than by anyone else on the planet.
Another recommendation is Byrd's "Younger Than Yesterday" MONO where Chris Hillman's bass is just as inspired....Chris (our Chris...do you love him too?)!! I think his bass playing is unique due to his mandolin roots...Hillman plays his melodic bass lines much differently than your average bass player.

Not much of a Byrds fan, really.. but McCartney is a master.

Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb "Pulse" version.....some amazing guitar work by Gilmour in there, the 2nd/last solo is intense, I just love his sound on this one

There's nothing like cranking up the amp and belting out this one at full volume

That Floyd is one of my favorites!!!, though "The Wall" doesn't do it for me all the way thru.....
I'm listening to JACKSON BROWNE'S
FOR EVERYMAN flawless!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaLalaFTTHw For Everyman-LIVE
The video provides lyrics for those that like to get the whole song down in their minds and hearts...Mon!

A brilliant live show and such a great LA icon. This live version may even be better than the original....as I listen now, I would say definitely!!!!

Man that is SO COOL!! What about Fred Neil or Eric Andersen and the amazing Phil Ochs!!??
One of my all time favorite LPs that I have (original Elektra guitar player MONO) is Fred Neil's "Beeker & MacDougal". That was the center of everything that was really happening in the early sixties!! DYLAN, Dave Von Ronk!!! Bunky & Jake!!!
I ENVY YOUR UNCLE with all my soul!!! Even my favorites like Steve Stills, Richie Furay and Peter Tork of the Monkeys TRIED to get their start there!
Unfortunately for them, the folk era was over by the time they hit the scene in 1965!
Everyone was going ELECTRIC!!! So glad to hear how his love for that era of music has become YOUR LOVE!!!
I would love to sit (or email) and talk with your Uncle...for hours!!! I never got over to NYC...TOOO young at 12 years old!! But loved the whole scene!!
