Starry Eyed and Laughing.....great great 70's UK band that was tops on the UK live circuit but could never quite break thru the record sales. "15 years ahead of their time or 10 years late!" I love them!
Anyone else into these guys.? Tony Poole the 12 string Rickenbacker master is still producing and recording....highly endorsed by who else?....Roger McGuinn!!
http://www.myspace.com/starryeyedlaughing
Their cover of "Chimes of Freedom" is brilliant, and "Nobody's Home" is a catchy number!
A real surprise! Go to
http://www.starryeyedandlaughing.com for more info or their complete recordings on double CD !

The Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFTIX3zl_8s
...great lyrics....
Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
That life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
We're not the same, we're different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
And you know you're never sure
But you're sure you could be right
If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe, believe in me, believe
In the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there's not a chance tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
We'll crucify the insincere tonight
We'll make things right, we'll feel it all tonight
We'll find a way to offer up the night tonight
The indescribable moments of your life tonight
The impossible is possible tonight
Believe in me as I believe in you, tonight

And from Darin's highly regarded Folk-Rock LP...
If I Were A carpenter...the definitive version of this great song!
You will love his great reading here..."SPELLBINDING"....
just nine months before Bobby Darin's sad passing at 37. Bobby covered several of Tim Hardin's masterpieces...and wrote some himself for his newest venture.

"CODINE" Janis Joplin's cover of Buffy's classic song of her addiction
to codine in the early 60's.
From 1965! And quite different for Janis....more folk-blues than her
later blues rock....very cool!!
What more to say?...it's JANIS!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XTTwY8r ... re=related Fixed I hope!!! Sorry
The video has a bunch of pictures of Janis as a little girl & playing
the guitar looking like a high school aspiring folk singer! Some very
nice pics.
Check 'em out, joplin fans!
