Oh yes
The patient usually in extreme pain.
The scariest thing I ever saw was a portable butane curling iron was placed up a male patient's rectum by his self and peristalsis sucked it up past the rectum and the surgeons were afraid the peristalsis was going to ignite it and burn up his colon.
You don't take a wheel chair to ER to pick up patients with foreign objects in the rectum either.

A peanut in someone's nose, bat tea, a blow dryer curl thing up in someone's you know... this thread is getting bizar.

@ Victor, the x-ray of the fir tree is  Still wondering how on earth it got in that man his lung. Like they say in the video even if he would have swallowed a seed there is no way that could have survived and grow in there.

Can you imagine that man waking up after the operation and the doctors tell him we have good news you don't have cancer(luckily).

But we succesfully removed a fir tree from your insides..

Yes Mon, I love it!
I should have add also "bizarre" to the title of this thread.
There's plenty of stuff out there. From time to time we will make sure that new adjective might be added.

Search for Ernest Shackleton's Whisky in Antartic
Article originally appeared on the BBC news site

http://www.scotlandwhisky.com/news-and- ... on'swhisky

Two crates of Scotch whisky which belonged to the polar explorer Ernest Shackleton are to be recovered after a century buried in the Antarctic ice.

The McKinlay and Co whisky was found buried under a hut built and used during Shackleton's unsuccessful South Pole expedition between 1907 and 1909.

The crates, which are encased in ice, were first found three years ago.
New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust plans to use special cutting tools to remove the crates from the ice.

The crates and bottles are expected to undergo conservation work in New Zealand before being returned to the remote hut at Cape Royds, which the trust is trying to restore to the same condition as when Shackleton's team left it.
Trust spokesman Al Fastier said he would not be tempted to sample the Scotch, saying he preferred to allow the century-old spirits to retain their mystique.
"It would be terrible to sample it and find that it was off," he told Radio New Zealand.

Distillers Whyte and Mackay, which owns the McKinlay brand, are keen to get hold of a bottle, or at least a sample of the now-extinct blend.

The company's master blender Richard Paterson said: "We might even get enough to be able to take a stab at recreating it."

Shackleton's expedition ran short of supplies on its long trek to the South Pole from Cape Royds.

They eventually fell about 100 miles (160 kilometres) short of their goal, although one team did reach the magnetic South Pole and the expedition carried out valuable scientific work.

No lives were lost, vindicating Shackleton's decision to turn back from the pole, which was first reached in 1911 by Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen.
Shackleton later said to his wife: "A live donkey is better than a dead lion, isn't it?"

The expedition's ship left Cape Royds hurriedly in March 1909 as winter ice began forming in the sea, with some equipment and supplies, including the whisky, left behind.

"I personally think they must have been left there by mistake, because it's hard to believe two crates would have been left under the hut without drinking them," Mr Fastier said.

Shackleton sure needed some whisky at the time of the photo... Also, I imagine he wanted whisky without the rocks
lol, what a story! :D

It happened in Almancil, a little village in the south of Portugal. A thief who tried to rob a grocery store, was stuck in a hole while trying to enter the building. In an attempt to get out of the hole, the thief came to losing his pants. Somehow he was in that position for about 11 hours. I guess it was plenty of time for him to get some fresh ideas and... a cold butt too

 Man survives three week erection
From: The Daily Telegraph March 04, 2010 10:15AM

SURGEONS have saved a man's life after his three week erection that wouldn't go away nearly killed him.

The businessman, 55, was forced to undergo an emergency operation after his problem firmly persisted for a staggering 21 days.

Doctors at a hospital in Kolkata, India, eventually performed the surgery to put the middle-aged man out of his misery, The Sun reports.

But although the hour-long operation was successful, it rendered the man impotent.

Doctor Avishek Mukherjee said: "It was very late when the man sought treatment.

"The treatment has to be sought within six hours, otherwise it could even lead to death, besides the degeneration of the penis."

Doctors believe the father of two was suffering from a condition called priapism, triggered by a nervous system disorder.

Overweight people should pay 'fat tax' to cover healthcare costs, German MP says

Not CAR WASH better call it COW WASH!

No, no, no. Not just in Texas. British also do it!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picture ... ml?image=4

British farmers are aiming to milk profits and boost productivity with this latest agricultural machine - a car wash for cows. The industrial-sized device features a huge swinging brush similar to those used to clean vehicles and lorries. It is fixed inside a milking parlour or a barn and herds of cows can pass through and receive a thorough cleaning one at a time. Designers DeLaval claim the grooming device makes cattle more healthy and stops the spread of disease

Is this familiar to you?

Francisco Domingo Joaquim has the world's largest mouth

Image

http://www.couriermail.com.au/entertain ... 5944874496

A MAN who can fit a whole can of soft drink in his mouth sideways has been recognised as having a world-record sized kisser.
Francisco Domingo Joaquim's 16.99cm wide rubbery yap has earned him the bizarre title of the 'World's Widest Mouth' by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The 20-year-old, who is also known as the Angolan Jaw of Awe, put his elastic kisser to the test at the the 'Big Mouth' competition in Rome this month.

Contestants crammed their cake holes with a whole host of items including saucers, coffee cups and beer bottles but nobody's mouth could beat Francisco and his can of coke.

He even performed on an Italian TV show, popping a can in and out of his mouth 14 times in one minute.

Francisco, known as Chiquinho, and his unique talent was discovered by Guinness Book of World Record researchers scouring YouTube.

After two years of searching, they tracked him down to his hometown in Angola.

Since then Francisco has become an Internet sensation with his videos racking up thousands of hits.

Joaquim said it was a 'dream come true' to be honoured by Guinness World Records.

Something familiar? Huuum, maybe this?

Aaah, Sweet Virginia,
Wadin' through the waste stormy winter,
And there's not a friend to help you through.
Tryin' to stop the waves behind your eyeballs,
Drop your reds, drop your greens and blues.
Thank you for your wine, California,
Thank you for your sweet and bitter fruits.
Yes I got the desert in my toenail
And I hid the speed inside my shoe.
I want you to come on, come on down Sweet Virginia,
I want you come on, honey child,
I beg of you.I want you come on, come on down, you got it in you.
(honey child) Got to scrape the shit right off you shoes.
But Come on, come on down Sweet Virginia,
Come on, honey child, I beg of you.
Come on, come on down, you got it in you.
(honey child) Got to scrape that shit right off you shoes.
But Come on, come on down Sweet Virginia,

Lee Harvey Oswald coffin up for sale
The coffin of Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who assassinated President John F Kennedy, is up for auction.

Image

Here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... -sale.html

12:00PM GMT 01 Dec 2010
A Los Angeles auction house said on Tuesday it would sell the simple pine coffin in which Oswald was buried for almost 20 years.

Bidding will start at $1,000 (£640), but the item is expected to fetch strong interest from museums and collectors of presidential memorabilia when it goes under the hammer on Dec. 16.

"There's just a lot of interest in Kennedy and anything to do with his assassination," said Laura Yntema, auction manager at Santa Monica, California-based Nate D. Sanders.

 50 meters of road stolen
SPAIN (El Mundo) Crime is on the up in these hard times. Burglaries, robbery of copper, flats, cars ... but part of a road?
That's exactly what happened in Miengo, Cantabria. Ask the mayor, Avelino Cuartas, and he will say, "I know a lot of things can be stolen, but not a road." He is visibly upset.
The thing is, the robber, or robbers - Cuartas figures they needed at least a spade and a lorry and probably at leat a couple of people- they left absolutely no trace of the road surface, though it is evident that something strange has been going on in Miengo, which the mayor calls "a beautiful place."

KISS condoms!

The newest KISS Kondoms will be the world's first FDA-approved "Picture Condoms" featuring a full color image right on the latex. Here is the official word:
Originally introduced in 2002 by Condomania, KISS Kondoms were the first to display a color photographic image of a celebrity on both the condom wrapper and box. The innovation continues now on a whole new level, featuring an image of Gene Simmons' iconic fully extended tongue running down the length of the latex condom. "Our decision to feature Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and the KISS brand on these revolutionary condoms was a no-brainer considering Gene and Paul's worldwide legacy as entertainment icons and pioneers," said Chris Panucci, CEO of Graphic Armor.

Adam Glickman, CEO of Condomania, remarks, "I can think of no better way to introduce what is essentially advertising on condoms. Gene, Paul and KISS have a well-documented history of breaking new ground in marketing. With Gene's tongue leading the way once again, I am confident we are about to see an explosion of marketing messages and logos displayed on millions of condoms in action."

KISS Kondoms will be touring store shelves worldwide starting in April 2011. A second KISS Kondom, "Studded Paul," featuring an image of Paul Stanley on textured latex, will be released by June 2011.

This time it comes from Holland:

Rising football star Baerke van der Meij, aged one, is signed by club Toddler Baerke van der Meij has been signed up to a Dutch football team after winning YouTube fame following a quick kickabout against his toybox.

The talented tot shot to fame after his father Jorg posted a clip on YouTube of him curling three balls into his toybox in quick succession.

It received more than 1million hits and an offer from Dutch team Venlose Voetbal Vereniging, who play in the premier Eredivisie league.

The 18-month old joined VVV’s star midfielder Ken Leemans for his first ‘trial’ session at the team’s De Koel stadium before he was offered the symbolic contract, which is normally valid for ten years, after just an hour.

Baerke’s grandfather once played professionally for the club and his family remain fans.

In the past The Doors Examiner has had stories about Jim Morrison in fiction, Jim Morrison and The Doors in comics (please see links below), and now Ardden Entertainment has Jim Morrison as superhero!

One of the myths of our pop-culture heroes that we like to believe is that the hero hasn’t died. Elvis still shows up at a Michigan Burger King, Jim Morrison lives as a cowboy in Oregon, Andy Kaufman faked his death as an elaborate joke and he’s still waiting to spring the punch line on us. We need our heroes to some how have survived death, even better that they’ve only faked it and may someday return. This is the idea behind the comic book series Comeback Kings. Modern icons such as Bruce Lee, Tupac Shakur, Elvis, Andy Kaufman, and Jim Morrison faked their deaths and now operate as an elite superhero force.

Comeback Kings is strictly a story of superheroes, but has elements of Sci-fi, and is a Mad Magazine style satire on our icons and the pop-culture world we live in today. The story in Comeback Kings number 1 has them organizing to fight against reality show stars who refuse to relinquish their 15 minutes of fame.
