Guys, this new Bowie album The Next Day is awesome. Sad that its not up on youtube as of yet to give link but heh, it will be just released on March 12 but seek out the torrent sites cause this is a must hear. I'm not saying the "greatest comeback album of all time" and all the press jazz but his strongest in this century for sure.

Unfortunately only that one song can be found as of yet, which is a great one though but it is different to the rest of the album, which is magnificent with its rocking out tunes and rather great melodies!

"Sam Stone" -
John Prine .
John Prine (born October 10, 1946) is an American country/folk singer-songwriter. He has been active as a composer, recording artist and live performer since the early 1970s.
Born and raised in Maywood, Illinois, Prine learned to play the guitar aged 14. Subsequently serving in West Germany with the U.S. armed forces, by the late 1960s he had moved to Chicago, where he worked as a postman, writing and singing songs as a hobby. Becoming a part of the city's folk revival, he was discovered by Kris Kristofferson, resulting in the production of Prine's self-titled debut album through Atlantic Records in 1971. After receiving critical acclaim, Prine focused on his musical career, recording three more albums for Atlantic. He then signed to Asylum Records, where he recorded an additional three albums.
In 1984 he co-founded Oh Boy Records, an independent record label with whom he would release most of his subsequent albums. After struggling with squamous cell cancer in 1998, Prine's vocals deepened into a gravel-voice, resulting in the award-winning album Fair & Square (2005).
Widely cited as one of the most influential songwriters of his generation, Prine is known for lyrics that recollect melancholy tales from his life.

My absolute favorite solo artist!
"Jesus, The Missing Years"...great intro, so much fun...party talk about missing for 18 years? and nobody knows where he was? Jesus wild years...beer & wine, acid and Beatles and the missing years.

I wouldn't really say that Gilmour is underrated but... depends on how you look at it, I guess

Anyway, I love his playing as well! I have yet to catch him live though... unfortunately he doesn't seem to tour all that often these days.
This one's best with the volume cranked, just beautiful..

Not among fans like us who know better, but generally for the casual radio fan, he is never mentioned in the same breath as Clapton or Page, though he should be.

Point taken --- he's definitely way up there... imo more so than, to take one of your examples, Clapton.

Live at Pompeii is a masterpiece for me. I love everything about it. I'm also a Pompeii and Herculaneum maniac. So together with the music it's everytime I watch/listen to it a special experience.
Loves the BBC session too btw.
5 euro? That is a really really great buy!
