Don`t know if anyone is interested, but this was recorded live at a party called Electrofied in Portland. The crowd was quite young, took them a while to feel it but as you will see, the music really starts to take hold on the dancefloor.
Peace
Pretty good job. I'm not in the electronic shit anymore. And I'm glad about that. But he did a pretty good job. I can understand why people would dig it.
I remember once being at a rave for ages ago and that a group made a remix of the doors tune 'Little Game'. They were guys from Rotterdam, don't remember their names anymore. It was not too good, but hey, I was one dope & heard The Doors. I fuckin freaked out. I was all over the goddamn dancefloor.

Hey,
Yeah man, not everyone gets it but this is one of seven that Paul completed before Jampol royally screwed him over. I am different to you, I wasn`t a Doors fan in any way whatsoever. In fact, when Paul told us what he was doing I was like "what the fuck man, why ruin your career by doing faggy jazzy shite". Now I am proud to call myself a Doors fan, not necessarily as hardcore as many of you, but I at least own a couple of albums as a result of hearing this stuff.
Paul has also used JDMs Miami rant on another track, now that really works...In fact, when he wrote his interpretation of Miami for his blog, Leon Barnard said that he had waited 30 years to get a write up that accurate that understood what happened that night in 69. Amazing really, considering Paul was just a fetus at the time. That is why he refused to do a typical remix, he said the Doors music was powerful enough, taking an element out would fuck it up, all he tried to do, and successfully in many people`s eyes, is to give it some relevance today to the dancefloors, without fucking around with the originals.
I was in Portland when he dropped this however. It was bizarre, a bunch of 18 year olds on the dancefloor who didn`t have a clue what was happening. Morrison`s voice came out of the speakers and damn, the response was immediate. He played 4 tracks that night, this one, LMF, 521 and Strange Days, there was a line of kids asking him what the hell those tracks were after he finished.
I think Paul is planning some Amsterdam/Rotterdam dates later on this year, I`ll keep you posted (you can contact me thru the
www.myspace.com/psychedelicdancemusic page if you prefer)
Peace

I was at the "Hot Chip" concert this weekend here in Hamburg.
For those who don´t know the Band, they´re from England and it´s kinda electronic music, though they all played live instruments. Anyway, I was there in the front row and made same nice videos. If you wanna check ´em out:

I know this isn't Jim Morrison talking but it sounds so much like how Morrison would talk, the pauses and words used. It's sounds so familiar. Just slow down the talking a bit and that could be Morrison saying what that young kid was. I watched the vid like a dozen times because I was amazed at the similarities.

German singer Falco with a song about the mind of a serial killer. It came in three parts. The first one was the best.
Some lyrics are in German, some in English.
I still love the song and video today.

I don´t see what could be funny about that song. Some pretty strong lyrics.
Falco is great by the way, passed away way too soon.

Agreed

He was one of the few artist back in the 80's who was not afriad to touch subjects that could cause controversy. His lyrics many times are overlooked by people. It's a shame he died so young
