Here's hoping they put samples up soon or do one of those online listening parties for Vancouver.

Rhino were given the personal contact info for John Van Hamersveld who designed the 1970 poster. Maybe it'll be somewhere else on the package.

AFAIK, the release will be a gatefold kinda package for 2 cds and no booklet.

Hope the write up is a bit longer.

Is this all they have left? The Doors centric stuff is starting to look a bit bare.

Doors:
-Bakersfield
-Seattle
-H-Bowl cd/dvd/blu
-45 box
-mono 1st cd with SD songs
-Matrix master
-post Jim studio albums/live.
-couple studio outtake crumbs/Robby demos
-AL shows vinyl/surround(in a few years demand could be higher, 5.1 mixes were recently done by Botnick)
-cd of TV appearances may be pointless

Morrison estate:
-Poetry book
-poetry sessions
-cinemateque
-FOF release with copius extra and master quality
-HWY release with extras and master quality

Possible licensing:
-Isle of Wight cd/dvd/blu
-Sweden cd.

Another pipe dream of mine is a bluray/DVD data disc with every audience tape and as many photos/memorabilia as possible. Probably better as a fanjob

There's also the Fillmore/Winterland reel.

And possibly (hopefully) more from Roundhouse '68.

It's on the way, year 1968 will be out this year but such an overwhelming work, checking the facts, dates that it's just being postponed since the end of the summer. If you happened to hear previously about the European tour box set you'll know what is approaching.

I wish we knew what Wolfgangs Vault actually had. The Doors audio they had streaming on their site a few years back was all bootleg audio. I was told most, if not all of the good stuff was taken years ago by former insiders and employees.

I asked Jampol that question a couple years ago. he gave some non-answer involving the phrase "legal reasons".

The weird thing is circumstantial evidence(how other ocmpanies have interacted with WV) show that the colelction was plaundered OR the guy still has a couple aces up his sleeve. A bunch of other big names groups have had no new audio surface and bootlegs in their place. The king Biscuit purchase by the WV owner lends belief that he bought to make his site look more important that what he had.

I'm assuming that The Matrix will be the next release. Jeff said that it would be in Q1 or Q2 of 2011. We also have to consider that there may be some video releases on the way. They've been working on an updated version of HB. The Roundhouse, if additional footage exists and they have it, would be amazing.

Pretty sure Matrix we'll be the next release, and hopefully we get it within the first half of '11. Since Vancouver has been released, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume Seattle and Bakers will be released as well. The best thing to do w/those two performances is to bundle 'em in a 4-disc collection IMHO. After that, there's a remastered Hollywood Bowl on CD/Blu-ray to look forward too. Not sure what's going on with Stockholm, and hopefully they get the rights to IOW soon if they haven't already. I'm also hoping they do something with Fillmore '67.

The reason I chose Stockholm was because on the Doors FB page they posted a youtube clip of "You're lost Little Girl" from Stockholm... just got me thinking that maybe....

No, whoever the mod for the FB page is just picks videos or links he or she deems neat and that's how they come up with Song of the Day, etc. I thought it was funny that for Vancouver they posted two Youtube links for the bootleg Vancouver source.

Oh really? Oh well, I'll stick with my guess just for the hell of it!

LOL at the Vancouver thing!

Ha. Funny.

I sure hope it's the IOW DVD, so long over due it's damn ridiculous. I hope they don't over dub Robby's guitar.

However, the mixed and over dubbed version of BOT from the 1997 box set is pretty smokin.

Maybe it's because of the well-intended overdubs it takes so long to release it.

Maybe. Does anyone know how much progress Jampol has made with Sony regarding the rights to the film? Apparently that's what has been holiding this one up.

I'm certain Stockholm will get released sometime in the future, but probably not during 2011. Jeff is stupid if he doesn't acquire these shows for release.

Maybe they should release items chronologically?
First Matrix, then Fillmore '67 and so on. I don't see why they shouldn't, they did everything chronologically for concerts from 1970 (except Vancouver).

Wasn't FF the last of the AL shows to be released? Years after Detroit, Boston, Phili, Pitts, etc.

Not chronologically at all:

1. Detroit 08.may.1970.
2. Philly 01.may,1970.
3. Boston 10.april.1970.
4. Pitts 02.may.1970
5. FF 17&18.jan.1970
6. Vancouver 06.jun.1970.
