That could be true, cause I fought with my sister for this tape in 1992 or 93. Not sure the exact year.
That's cool Manuel that you have it too. :D

Because she didn't want to give the tape to me.
My relationship with my sister never was good. Till this day even.
She bought a Doors tape back then and liked them. Then she found out I loved the music of the Doors too so she didn't like them anymore. So I asked if I could have the tape cause she wanted to throw it away.
So she started being childish and pretend to throw it in the garbage and I got fed up and smacked her face her two front teeth through her lip.
Then the ultimate hair pulling festivity started.
But I got it. :D And still have it. :D

Nice sig, teo! I get a little excited when I see the US LA Woman jacket. I have the deep maroon red German cover LP.

Oh yah...I also like to collect "imports". It's kindda funny. USA collectors like the flimsy, but LAMINATED UK/Euro LP covers (they never get any ring wear etc....and UK/Euro collectors love the heavy cardboard US LPs.

Don't get me wrong, I love US originals too, but in many cased the VINYL is of higher quality (UK pressings, German, Dutch etc) and they often have different tracks AND order. SO I guess all are cool if you have the room (walls are good) and the $$$.

Thanks James .That particular lp was given to me by my father ,who had bought back in the days , it means a lot to me cause he really got me into the doors ,so i asked him if i could send it to be signed by their road manager and he was thrilled with the idea
Anyway i havent started to collect lp's it will be a good idea but i really need to study them closely to know what i am buying and what quality are they

Though I'm not 100% sure, I can not recall any photo where Jim wore this shiny black leather boots but rather another softer type (brown).

I've got quite a bit of memorabilia, but I'd have to say the weirdest thing is some green/black shower tile pieces that I got out of the Love Street house on Rothdell Trail, before it was remodeled. I got that in 1993.

Re: Weirdest Doors Memorabilia? American Prayer 1971

Post by knowtheword »

I have a weird replica of American Prayer,
as a mourning sale of JDM in Japan, from Aug.to Oct.1971.
It is what the person who sent 2-OBI from Japanese pressed
Doors' album to record company and 3000 persons have
obtained this small book, and record company had said
that AP was direct import from the US.
However, were the size similar original very well and the made replica
on those days in US?

And if this replica has not appeared on any market in US on 71,
this will called it in the world's first, weird but elaborate made-in-
Japan replica of AP.

I'm aware of only one replica of An American Prayer, which was made in Europe. Can you possibly post a pic?
