Talk about bragging about her ignorance......she was rather weak on her arguments about making a great national figure as VP and beyond. I don't think her image has improved much!

Yes maybe it isn't fair from me to only have posted the dumb quotes Sarah Palin made.. but seriously she in no way was or is ready for a job as vice president. If rumors are true and she will be running for president the next time she'll have a lot of learning to do. Otherwise someone please talk her out of it. That woman has no idea what she is doing.
I don't think anyone is expecting her to be a Hilary Clinton. She is her own person but wow, she just doesn't know what on earth she is doing and I don't think she even cares.

We'll see I guess.

More from Marlene Dietrich

-If there is a supreme being, he's crazy.
-It's the friends you can call up at 4 a.m. that matter.
-Without tenderness, a man is uninteresting.
-Courage and grace are a formidable mixture.
-Compassion, without it you mean little.
-Stupidity is the only defect with which I can lose my patience.
-Youth is optimism and trust.

Got one more good quote for you all today!

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four people is
suffering from a mental illness. Look at your three best friends.
If they're ok, then it's you."

Rita Mae Brown is one of my fav authors. I read her book "Rubyfruit Jungle" a year or so ago...and it was simply awesome.
I would totally suggest it!

If I quoted this before, it's worth repeating.....

Dance like no one is watching.
Sing like no one is listening.
Love like you've never been hurt,
and live like it's heaven on earth.

Very beautiful. :)

This one was send to me by Eveline a long time friend of mine. She wanted to send some positive vibes to me. This one did it. :D

True friends are like diamonds
precious and rare
False friends are like autumn leaves
found everywhere

I don't know who wrote it originaly though.

And these two. I think they are from Marlene Dietrich:

-I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.

- Never forget to dream.

Life is all about timing...the unreachable becomes reachable,
the unavailable becomes available, the unattainable...attainable.
Have the patience, wait it out.

It's all about timing.

I have spread my dreams under your feet,

This one must be the most beautiful I have read in a long time.
And it's true. Life has a certain way to make everything fall in to place when you least expect it. This qoute gives love and hope. Still thank you for posting. :)

Einstein:

Great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from weak minds.

We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

A person starts to live when he can live outside himself.

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

The faster you go, the shorter you are.

The only source of knowledge is experience.

Nice, Mon...few realize how wise Einstein was about life...so many geniuses are quite narrowly focused and not so connected to life ...the big picture.

Exactly Scott. He gets credited of course for a lot of other things and rightfully so. But the man sure knew what he was talking about on the subject of life experience to.

Yep the man seemed a little "out there" but that doesn't stop me from liking to read about him. :)

A lie will easily get you out of a scrape, and yet, strangely and beautifully, rapture possesses you when you have taken the scrape and left out the lie.
- Charles Edward Montague

Truth is mighty and will prevail. There is nothing the matter with this, except that it ain't so.
- Mark Twain

If we were all given by magic the power to read each other's thoughts, I suppose the first effect would be to dissolve all friendships.
- Bertrand Russell

I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.

When you point the finger
There are three fingers pointing back at you.
Hate destroys the one who hates
And everyone suffers the same

-----

This one has been a great support to me when I was going through the same for many weeks as you are going through now. You know who you are. This one's for you. ;0

Passing it along now to someone very special to me, who needs the support right now just as much as I did.

Thank you again. Image

Beautiful words from Remco Campert.

Van top tot teen gloeien
alsof ik word geslagen en gestreeld
door een zon en een storm.
Bossen branden
en wij openen onze huizen
voor elkanders vlammen.

Glowing from head to toe,
a feeling of being touched by the sun and a storm.
Forests burn,
and we open our homes for eachother's flames.
