What are some great mags to be on the look out for?

I've starting looking for them lately, and it's so addicting!

Hullabaloo is a very collectable magazine, the price is a bit too steep though...especially for those issues, I'd say the one with the Jagger cover is the one that's the most desirable out of those two among collectors, others are of course the two Jim cover issues.Congrats anyway!

You should also look into the early issues (late 1968-1969) of Circus (formerly Hullabaloo) and Teenset.Other rarer magazines like Poppin and Discoscene are also great collectors items....for the most part I'd stay away from 16 Magazine, not worth much and low on interesting content...mostly teenybopper stuff/the same Stavers or Brodsky shots over and over.

Other publications:
-LA Free Press (mostly for concert ads, interviews to a certain degree)
-Rolling Stone Magazine (album reviews, articles, interviews and the famed #88 memorial issue)
-Hit Parader is also a good and serious publication to look for (photos, interviews etc.)
-Flip is also a decent publication
-Cheetah has got a few interesting issues
-Crawdaddy
-Jazz and Pop (features a few PK period pieces on The Doors/Jim, plus a cover issue that Jim was really proud of)
-Billboard and Cash Box, industry publications with lots of great album and single ads.

In other words there's a LOT to be on the lookout for.
What would be the absolutely most desirable for a Doors fan/collector would be local underground papers detailing/reviewing concerts or interviewing the band...those are far and few between though but there's no doubt that that's where the rarest material lies.
There's a lot to be discovered for the ones dedicated and willing to spend hours and hours on end researching..

I'm currently trying to get my hands on the memorial issue and Rolling Stone #4, which apparently has a story about New Haven.

And of course, I found the issue with Pam's obit and couldn't pass it up.

I'd advise Circus too as there's an interview not seen anywhere else, never digitally transferred, transcripted, released in two magazines, following two issues. Gotta look after which issues tho..

I'll have to make a list of all the magazines I have when I get a chance. I have some that aren't easy to find.
