Yeah, a book is a good thing to have Ray sign, but not THAT book.

I've seen a total of 10 of them for sale. It's possible that a couple of those were the same copy being sold twice.

haha, I knew someone that had Ty, Angelo and Ian sign Doors albums and an 8-track. I think Phil Chen signed some too. If I were Ian or Ty, I would say, sorry but I didn't play on those albums.

No logic, are they that desperate to give an autograph?

I guess at some point you just sign whatever someone gives you and don't question it. But I certainly wouldn't give Stephen King a copy of 'The Sun Also Rises' to sign.

no joke.
ive not read anything by hemingway, i dont think so anyway, mmmmaaaaayyyybe in highschool.... anyway, my fav writer i think would have to be Kurt Vonnegut.... and i sure as hell wouldn't have any one but kurt sign a book of his....

on a side note, is anyone here familiar with (or a fan of) Ryan Adams? he put put a tune called "the sun also SETS".... which is quite nice. i suppose thats a whole new topic in itself.

I remember someone said they gave an album to Ray and Robby to sign and then they passed it to Ty who then signed it too. Man, that sucks. You can't do much in that situation. Unless you jump in and just snatch it from Ty: "No! Bad drummer!"

another topical diversion, but i saw the D21C in Melbourne in '05, and while Ty is a great drummer, I was secretly wishing they somehow knew I was a hardened Doors fan and would invite me on stage with them..... I pretty much learned to drum by emulating John, once I went through all the albums I went through all the better quality bootlegs and jammed along with them at high volume ripping off all his fills and every little stroke from each different version..... I don't think Ty Dennis has the Doors feel.... John Densmore is a slacker behind the beat kinda drummer, drummers are born ahead or behind the beat, and Ty, well he wasn't born behind the beat.

Best I've ever heard is someone intentionally got Hilary Clinton to unknowingly autograph Monica Lewinski's book at a signing(they rush through people in seconds) by swapping the dust jackets and having having it open to to a blank page.

If she ever gets back into the white house, or when Bill/Hilary die, that will cleanup at an auction house.
