My favourite Stanley's movies are The Shining and Eyes Wide Shut.
He was such a talented director and intellectual

He's the best. Once you've seen the big ones (2001, Clockwork, FMJ, Strangelove etc) check out some of his lesser known films like Paths of Glory and The Killing -- they are equally rewarding.

A true master.

I also love the story of the guy who posed as him, and got away with it and kubricks response to that! Don't know what I am talking about? Check out Colout me Kubrick: A tru...ish story!

I think John Densmore wrote about watching this film back in 1968 (in his book Riders on the storm). I don't remember anymore in what terms.
