Anyone going to see Dylan this year? I just found out he's coming to Adelaide with BB King opening. Should be a great show.

OOOHHH I'd go just to see BB KIng. Can you send me a link? I might fly over for it. (Unless they are coming here too)mystery_train67 wrote:Anyone going to see Dylan this year? I just found out he's coming to Adelaide with BB King opening. Should be a great show.
i suppose i shouldnt be shocked.... because a great many people feel this way, and his style is devoid of melody these days.... but i still like it. BB will be cool. hopefully they bring him out during dylans setRoughie wrote:Not really a fan of Dylans singing.
I'll be surprised if they don't!mystery_train67 wrote:i suppose i shouldnt be shocked.... because a great many people feel this way, and his style is devoid of melody these days.... but i still like it. Dylan actually isn't coming here. BB King is part of a festival where I don't care too much for the other acts!jamestkirk wrote:When they toured together few years ago, BB & Dylan were on stage performing together & that was a fine moment.
Unfortunately, when left alone on stage, Dylan is a tossup whether he will be "on" or not on any given night. He was off the night he came to my town and quite flat and seemingly bored.
I hope on this tour Dylan is ON for you guys!!
Sir King! LOLjamestkirk wrote:As you said Roughie....BB is worth the price of admission, no matter what!
He is a national treasure...too bad we don't have knighthood in the US...it would be Sir BB.
Saw him last October as well during his two month US tour last fall. He traded off between organ, harmonica and guitar during the concert and seemed to enjoy himself. Hope he puts on a good show(s) in Austrailia.lament of an indian wrote:I saw Dylan last October and the concert was one of the best in my life (maybe had something to do with being front row center)... , I thought Dylan's voice was in fine form but then again, I have always loved dylan's voice so maybe I am a bit biased. BB King is very old (approaching his 90s) and he does a lot more talking than playing these days. Dylan is for sure going to be putting on the better show but that is great that they are both gonna be playing.
So no respect for the King, eh?Roughie wrote:BB ended up playing here last night. I didn't go cause I am currently unemployed. The critics are slamming him. (they slam everyone though)
Yeah, they ripped him to shreds. I have hardly ever seen any critics here give someone a break. They have no idea, last concert I went to, they didn't even get the musical genre right!jamestkirk wrote:So no respect for the King, eh?Roughie wrote:BB ended up playing here last night. too bad!
