Some were in such a state that they may only have had one more play-back left in them before the footage they contained was stripped away forever, while many others suffered from dubious labeling practices, making it difficult to determine what sort of content they might hold, where it was filmed, or even when. That's an easy one! Something like: "We have videos of Doors shows but they didn't pass our internal quality standards"

Yeah, it's easy to get hopes up, but I wouldn't expect very much, or for that matter, nothingl. Considering how disappointing that Wolfgangs couldn't offer one decent soundboard recording of the Doors, how could any of us expect an actual filmed concert, no less??

So weird. One has to think that the thought of recording the Doors visually would have crossed Bill Graham's mind considering they were one of the more popular acts of the late 60's. Did Bill Siddons put the cabash on any attempts to visually record the band? Whether at Winterland or the Cow Palace? Or even any of the Fillmore East '68 shows?

I'm a believer. For sure a lot of this stuff has to exist. Probably like some of our forum colleagues said, chances are that it's probably dispersed in the hands of privates.
Anyone who has this stuff has gold in their hands. Lucky bastards!
