Hurricane Irene aftermath

For a while it was called Hurricane Hype, but for a weaker-than-predicted storm it wreaked more devastation than the Eastern seaboard (and beyond) has ever seen from one storm...poor Vermont! Who would have thought they would see the worst of it on the tail-end, due to the historic floods!!

I hope all our Eastcoast (coastal and flatlanders) friends and family are fine!

I'm wondering how this is being covered overseas? UK, Euro, s. American, NZ, Aussie friends?

Far from the US my wishes are the same. I hope you haven't been seriously affected by Irene.

We just got power back now. We were without it for 3 days. Other than that I got off easy with no flooding and no damage to my place. Can't complain. It could have been a lot worse. :D

My wife works at a TV station and makes graphics for the news. It is usually one of/if not the lead story. Get a lot of news stories from US stations.
