lol, it took your eyes 30 seconds to adjust to the darkness. Great place indeed, rip. Kiefer Sutherland hangout and also where Quentin Tarantino showed Tim Roth the script for Reservoir Dogs. Good place to get drunk then eat Indian food next door.

Might note, JM's 'I made all the blue cars go away'.

Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars - YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Clxtg2pFTQM

Must have been late after noon
I could tell by how far the child's shadow stretched out
And he walked with a purpose in his sneakers down the street
He had many questions like children often do
He said, "Tell me all your thoughts on God
And tell me, am I very far?"

...

We said, "Tell me all your thoughts on God
'Cause I'd really like to meet her.
And ask her why we're who we are."
Tell me all your thoughts on God
'Cause I'm on my way to see her
So tell me, am I very far
Am I very far now

The Doors on The Smothers Brothers Hour...saw this appearance in real time back in the day...cool then, AND now.

Love this, and the memories and thoughts of John....pretty cool. Especially how instrumental parts were pre-recorded, but vocals were actually performed. I always wondered about that with many performances I saw in the 60's on TV when instruments sounded like they were recorded, but the vocals were obviuosly live.

I bet that's pretty sweet. I'll have to look for the CD version of that Hoffman remaster.

Nick Drake...all three of his wonderful LPs on vinyl for a few days now. An emotional musical trip and well worth the price of admission. Have loved Nick for decades, but this time around it is a kind of new pilgrimage and almost a religious experience.

Reading (along with the LPs) the great book that came with the Fruit Tree box, and all the lyrics, song by song.

Five Leaves Left

Pink Moon

The last week I have just discovered the terrific Dutch Beatles tribute band, the Analogues . Their intention is to perform the Beatles studio albums, Sergeant Pepper, The Whie Album, Abbey Road and Let it be... They try to get close to theoriginal as possible,
A llot of tracks can be found on YouTube,

Really impressive!

David Ackles, rare live TV appearance in Norway. 1968

1. Down River, 2. Lotus Man, 2. Blue Ribbins, 4. interview, 5. His Name Is Andrew
Amazing music from a great talent. So glad this was saved for us to see today...the only full live film that exists today.

https://tv.nrk.no/program/FBUA07008668/ ... ckles#t=0s

Norwegian music program (s-hv). David Ackles sings 4 own shows - "Down River", "Lotus Man", "Blue Ribbons" and "His Name Is Andrew" taken from his debut album "David Ackles". In an interview with Harald Are Lund, the 32-year-old American tells a little about the background for the individual songs. A rambling existence has given him time to reflect, something that the texts bear the mark of. Admission to studio August 29, 1968. Director: Svein Erik Børja.

I didn't pick it, it was what automatically came after Paul Oakenfold “Global Underground - New York”

Disconnected from psychedelic-gothic-rock, I know :/

Greatly introduced to it (old fan of hers, though) via martial arts in JAPAN scene in Deadpool 2, which was just beautiful.
