I received for my birthday the book Sweet Judy Blue Eyes: My Life in Music and the cd Paradise from this great folk singer Judy Collins.
Haven't read the book yet, I first have to finish Dave Zimmers' book Crosby, Stills & Nash.
But the cd Paradise is brilliant! Judy's voice is still so pure and strong.
Jac Holzman was so right to contract Judy back in 1961.
My next buy will definitely be Judy Collins latest album Bohemian.

That is a fantastic album, LC. Bohemian sounds like it will be terrific....a concept album right? The duet with Stephen Stills on Paradise fits right in with the theme for your birthday.

I am also exploring more of Judy's recent albums: one of Leonard Cohen songs and the other of Lennon & McCartney. She has always been a strong advocate covering them on her albums from the early days onward, but these sound great!

Oh, and Happy Birthday, LC!!

We Scorpios need to stick together. I received the new John Lennon bio on my Birthday...highly recommended!

This one is also a great one of Judy with Stephen Stills, Van Dyke Parks and James Burton.
Sounds like a lullaby but in fact it's a murder ballad, kinda sad.

Yes! That is from that very amazing album of the same name (Who Knows Where The Times Goes-1969) by Judy...do you have it?

Nope, but I do have the reissues of Judy's debut album A Maid Of Constant Sorrow from 1961 and her second album Golden Apples Of The Sun.
