Rock Photographer Ken Regan Built Outstanding Career on Discretion

Ken Regan began his photography career in 1968 by sneaking his camera into rock concerts. Within four years, he was documenting the Rolling Stones for Time magazine, giving him unparalleled backstage access.

Regan cemented his reputation with the great rock stars of his era by respecting their privacy — a choice that, ironically, welcomed him into some of the bands' most intimate moments. The result was 3 million concert photographs — including what legendary promoter Bill Graham called "the best shot ever taken" of Bob Dylan.

My Generation relives music history with one of its most prolific chroniclers.

Watch this great vid about his enviable career!
