Maybe in an attempt to raise the perception of ROCK & Roll; that it was just a fad or teenage trivial pursuit...our rock heroes rose to the occasion with compositions that reached to the heights of creativity.
Classical meets rock....no, not Prog Rock, but rather masterpieces of rock. Classical concepts being carved into ROCK.
These are not always obvious in title, but can be heard in execution.

These come to mind...
Suite: Judy Blue Eyes...CSN...possibly the greatest 60's anthems of all time.

and one of my favorite album covers ever...gatefold glory...get the vinyl if you can just to hold this in your hands!
...............................................
Trieuology....my favorite psych suite....KAK

Which flowed into the next....you guessed it...Lemonade Kid

.............................................
Trilogy...EL&P...just brilliant

................................................
Trilogy...Loggins and Messina...love loss and peace of mind (their first two long players were sublime)

A staple of underground FM in the early 70's..and another cool cover from a Buffalo Springfield alum!
......................................
Finally, "You Set The Scene"
...could easily be called a classical marriage of composition of a trilogy of songs....joined by Love into one cohesive masterpiece.
