Last Sunday CSN played the World Forum Theater in The Hague in The Netherlands.
And what a night it was!
The atmosphere was great, they played most of their classics and a couple of new songs like Graham Nash' protestsong Burning For The Buddha and What Time I Have.
Although the highest notes were not always reachable, they compensated this by singing an octave lower, it sounded fantastic.
Stephen Stills is still Captain Manyhands, playing fantastic acoustic guitar or the famous Gretsch.
Graham and David did the playful interacting with the audience and you could see that they were really having a good time on stage.
Filming and photographing was not allowed and the security of the theater was alert on this.
The average age of the audience was 45+ so the use of smartphones during the concert was minimal.
Setlist as mentioned is the correct setlist, although the newer songs like Burnin 'For The Buddha are not playable via this setlist.

Nash and Crosby wanted to tour with Neil Young at the end of this year, or in 2014.
Can't wait to see this happening. CSN&Y reunited on stage.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks for this, lc.
Stills and Cros have been losing a lot of weight and Stills has a voice coach so his singing has mostly returned to form - better than it's been in years. Stills has always been one of the greatest guitarists on the planet and that has not changed.
A friend of mine who is a good friend of Cros tells me that Crosby is recording a new solo album. Can't wait.
Cros/solo is the best--one of my faves is

Almost Cut My Hair.
Don't know why, but somehow this song represents the 60's for me.
Can someone explain this to me?

Well, it's chock full of 60's situations/references familiar with most people.
I haven't listed to it in quite awhile, but a couple come to mind:
1. Long hair, almost cut it, but didn't because that would betray the hippie ethos.
2. Looking in your rear view mirror and seeing a police car. Most hippies/long hairs were harassed by the fuzz.
I'm sure there are many more, but that' off the top of my head.

And of course it is a key song in
EASY RIDER....any other movie that invokes the 60's better?
..
.feel like letting my freak flag fly....that says the 60's peace love and hippies better than any lyric i can think of...and CSN&Y as a whole evoke that hippie ethos as well as any.
Of course Stills said it in an even more iconic song---probably the most documentary/soundtrack used 60's song ever (when trying to capture the 60's--who does it better than the Springfield?)--

along with the Byrds, has there ever been a band that morphed into so many amazing iconic bands and solo acts?!--two of the more inter-related cross-over bands ever
