In your response to the questions about the Cleveland show in August 68, you said when Jim was wild, it indicated less alcohol, not more, but possibly more of other substances, not less. I am curious, there has been so much spoken about in regards to Jim's drinking on stage. I am interested in what might those substances be that would have inspired a wilder show?

If Jim used any "Other" substance it was likely something he smoked. Acid was one of the items he ingested but not to frequently after he blew his fuses in 1966 or so

If someone gave him something he would usually consume all of it on the spot. Nothing like moderation, Right!

It is hard to tell what Jim would do when the mood struck him.

Remember that certain materials are depressants and as such do allow the inhibitions to come out. Other simply make you more meditative.
