That is so interesting....and he's not just an OCD record collector fanatic, he actually loves his records!
It sounds like he is in the process of archiving [at least 20 years to do ...if he doesn't buy anymore!...and making them available to hear and even check out [like a library] so all those "millions" of records that will never see the digital world will be heard by any and all. And they may digitize them all eventually for the world to hear.
He does have a purpose it seems.
