This listing is obviously a bit overpriced but how much is this, in this condition really worth?

I used to monitor the market for the price on these, and haven't done so in quite awhile. However, I don't think the market has changed that much. The price should typically be anywhere from $275-350 for this condition.

P.S.- I just looked at several for sale, and this range is still correct.

I wouldn't give more than around $100, this book is not rare --- the prices are just inflated. Buy privately, not from a "rare" book dealer/seller.

IMO, here's a reasonably priced copy due to the condition. No affiliation.

You might want to negotiate a better price because the book comes with a color copy of the original dust jacket.

Alright! Thanks again for the advice. Will have to decide to pull it off on either a signed Bowie item or this...

Here's my copy. Still has the plastic wrap that goes over the jacket. I'd say the book is in 'as new' condition.

It's a shame that it's missing three pages of poetry from "The Lords: Notes On Vision." Also, the text isn't reproduced exactly as it appears in "The Lords", although the differences are pretty subtle. For example, the spelling of "theatre" was changed to "theater."

At first I thought you referring to my personal copy but I realized it's all of the 1970 prints of this book that are missing the three pages from 'The Lords' and some spelling differences.

I recall that there are some other differences as well. Words have been either added or removed. Someone took the time to proofread it, but not to confirm that it was complete. Unless, that is, Jim requested that those pages be left out.
