Why would Jim sign a baseball . I can understand if Babe would sign a baseball but I don't think any music fan back in the 60s would give Jim a baseball..? Also handwriting angle is totally off . In addition the J and the M are totally wrong( they are usually more curved) To me it's 100% fake, I am sorry but I don't want people to think this is an authentic signature by Jim's

Who knows why Jim would sign a baseball. Have you ever tried signing something round?

I totally agree with Teo about the Jim signature on the ball. The signatures are actually replicas, but I don't believe that an authentic example was used for Jim's signature. Ray's very much appears as though it's a repro of an authentic signature, and Robby's likely is as well.

I also agree that the ball is a repro of a fake JDM and the Morrison Hotel album signed in red is definitely not in Jim's hand. Jack...

A long time ago, I enjoyed watching tv shows like American Pickers, Bargain Shows etc, and it made me want to get a pedal car and dedicate it to Jim but I lost interest, so I still own it and one day I might do something with it but who knows so this is my 1965 AMF FORD MUSTANG APACHE PEDAL CAR

Thanks Kris for this one. Never knew the originally scheduled date was May 5th for this show at the Spectrum. Do you know the date the letter was written?

you're welcome Buda and yes on the back of the letter it is addressed to a J.Duffy in Philadelphia, Dec 14, 1970! (well that's where the stamp is I guess! I find it strange because didn't The Doors play Spectrum in May 1, 1970? so someone obviously asked about this show? What is this exactly? Please

Thanks! Seems the Doors played one of the last shows at the Spectrum in its last incarnation and besides the farewell, the letter lists the last leg of shows the venue hosted. Must have been written prior May, 1970 (date inconsistency confirms), only still sent out after the dates played out for some reason, as the stamp indicates.

He wore it at the La Playa show June 28th. You can see in the FOF footage.

Kris, could you kindly post a clearer up close pic of the JDM sig on the Atlanta Pop Festival program. I've also seen that before and also believe it to be authentic. Congrats! How did you acquire it. Best, Jack...
