Most music I listen to makes me feel good. It enhances my mood. I like to gravitate around sublime states.

Today, had a really sublime state when my closest, oldest friend [next to my wife, but well, he is more 'me' then my wife is I guess] told me some interesting things about our life.

That had me on these old 90s soundtrack hits:

Music in general just makes me happy...everything from Mozart to Nine Inch Nails. Typically, if I'm in a really bum mood, I throw on some mid-late 60's Beach Boys. Not the early surf stuff (which I like, but is not my favorite period for them). Anything from the BB 1966 "SMiLE" sessions until 1970's "Sunflower"

I love Nine Inch Nails, one of my favourite bands. The Downward Spiral is just perfect.

Agreed, "Downward Spiral" is amazing, "Pretty Hate Machine" as well. Hard to believe those albums are considered "classic" by kids these days!

I remember I did a project featuring the song "Mr. Self Destruct" back in high school music history class, got a perfect grade but scared the crap out of my teacher! He actually told me to "Put away the Nine Inch Nails and please go back to your usual band, The Doors."

Haha you got good taste. Mr Self Destruct is a hell of a song to open an album with.
