Are any of the post-Forever Changes albums by Love worth listening to? I know they did not use the same musicians for the albums, so are they any good or worth listening to? How are they different from the debut album, Da Capo, or Forever Changes?

Arthur was "forever changing" as can be heard on the classic three. They are the best, but thatdoesn't mena there are no great albums after the classic lineup that are owrht having.

Arthur was a talent that may have lost the backing of amazing and musically supportive band members like Bryan, Johnny, Michael & Kenny, but he had some pretty hard rocing and amazing thruoughout his career.

These are some I would highly recommend:

Four Sail on Elektra (1969):
Arthur was under contract to complete one more album for ELEKTRA and ave them a ton of tracks from his new band for Elektra to choose from. Elektra picked the best (and great they are--a friend who alos lves LOVE, like Four Sail best of all). It pretty darn good and ant band would give their eye teeth to have recorded an LP as good.

August is fantastic, from Four Sail, and has all thsoe signature Love time changes

Out Here (1969) on Blue Thumb:
This contains the "leftovers" that ELEKTRA didn't take for Four Sail, and althought htere are some weaker tracks, this double LP is well worth a listen & owning.

Gather Round...actually one of my all time favorite Love tracks

Out Here...great track, amazing musicians

.............................

There are several others I will get into soon for you and any Love fans here.

In the meantime here are Arthur's albums. Rare and each has some good stuff, if you aren't expecting Forever Changes. But then Forever Changes is a once in a lifetime achievement--my favorite all time.

I just bought this wonderfully packaged and remastered hardbound book/folio box set!! 50 years on!
