I hate the Exorcist.
Linda Blair makes my skin crawl.
So it was extremely well done. But I hate it.

"Freaks" is a great one, for me, too....creepy, especially the murder scene in the end.

"Creature From The Black Lagoon" was pretty scary for me too, SF. Nice pics!

The original "The Mummy" with Boris really scared me one Sunday afternoon
when I was about eight!

Around Halloween we generally get to see some good, and bad, and ugly horror flicks.

A couple of modern classic that defined the genre today, for me, are
"Halloween" (the first, of course) & "Scream" ( No. 1 also).

Steven King lives in Bangor about an hour from where I live in Maine.
He's just a regular guy back home..Red Sox fanatic, in a rock band, plays with Kostner & other Hollywood buddies......his "house" is an old brick gothic mansion complete with iron/gated fence & gargoyles. Kind of a fixture around Maine...but what a mind!!

Never meet him, but always seen around & on the local news, charities, etc.

By the way, King couldn't stand the corporate radio that dominates the airwaves, so he started up his own radio station that you all can listen to online that features some pretty good alternate/indie rock. Dig that radio station logo! Here's the link....(100.3 WKIT).....

Holy crap, wh!, they must have some kind of evil spirit problem that they need so bloody many gargoyles & grotesques to scare them away!!

Nice pics...do you live near these guys? Do the residents have horns?

Oh, and I almost forgot to ask, is this a year round decorating scheme?!!

I guess you'd have to say Steven King has bloody good taste after seeing
wha's pic of that Venice Beach gothic monster of a house! King's house is downright docile & pretty humble considering his millions, though by moonlight after watching Carrie it can get the imagination going! ...and that is just the kind of old house we can find to be haunted.....there actually are a famous few in Maine

I live on the East coast. Yes, it looks like that year round. The house is on the same block as the building where Jim Morrison lived on the rooftop and wrote many of his early songs & poems. W.C Fields also lived in that building.

King's home is downright disappointing after that one, wh!

Hey misty & wha', and all, here is some more info & pics of King's house. It's a fun site. King is a pretty funny guy. If he didn't write horror he'd likely be a humorist.
