Michael Nesmith (Monkees) on David Letterman
Elephant Parts
Nez tries to explain to Letterman what his (first ever Grammy for a) music video IS....Letterman is like, so what is this? Weird that is was such a strange medium to conceptualize at the time...of course Michael ultimately sold the concept to a network that became MTV. Nez became a visionary in the film and video industry with Pacific Arts producing such PBS programs as the Civil War...which ended when he was forced to sue PBS for breach of contract. Nez said it was tantamount to suing your grandmother but it had to be.
