From my understanding the children were there when it happened. People have heard screaming, including children screaming. From what I have heard they were at the appertment when their mom got murdered yes. :(

Fortunately I think the two year old at least will not remember. Hopefully they end up in a loving home now.

I read that the father took the kids to family in Amsterdam before he turned himself in. Maybe he did have the sense to make sure they did not see anything too. Hopefully that is.

Yes after the murder he took his kids to family in Amsterdam. Then the family got worried and drove to Soest. They could not open the door so they broke a big window and then found the dead body of the mother.

From what I can hear from some of the soundclips. Alcohol/drugs was involved. But no one has a real idea of why this happened.
Poor woman just 29 years old. and those kids. I hope they did not see it but they must have heard the screams of their mom. A lot of people outside the appertment heard the screams so I guess the kids did for sure.

I was afraid of that. With 2 and 4 years it's hard to know if they will remember anything. Human mind is a mistery, even if they don't conscientiously remember anything there's probably something that will influentiate their behaviour. Psychiatrists will have to do some work but of course they will grow up knowing something happened. Hopefully as Chris said they will find some loving home.

I have the local news paper here with me now. There are some photo's in it from the police investigation.
All they say about the kids is that they confirm that they were in the appartment when their dad murdered their mother.
That they are in good physical health. And are now with family in Amsterdam.

Even if they didn't see it they must have heard it. People heard the screaming from far.

Thank you for your offer Twilla to help out. That is very sweet of you. *hugs*. :D I will let you know if something will be done for the children.
All I know that flowers are put right in front the appertment where it all happened.

I'll see if I can go there tomorrow and put some flowers there. But I am not going to take photo's though. I just can't do that. That would be like being a spectical tourist.

Edit,

Sorry to hear about your grandma Twilla. No matter how old or young someone is when they die. When loved they'll be missed always. :)
So when you see the roses you think of her? That is beautiful. :)

Yes
I like to know special people in my life's favorite flower so that if something good or bad happens and I feel the need to give flowers I know what they like.
