Love mp3s.

HEYYYYYYYYY! It's good to be back!! :)
Watching the stars till they're gone,
like an actor all alone,
who never knew the story he was in,
who never knew the story ends.
Like the sky reflecting my heart,
all the colors become visible.
When the morning begins... I'll read the last line.

I went to rock and roll convention in the early 90's to meet Robby, and Randy California was also there. Robby had a huge throng of fans waiting for autographs, but stopped signing while Randy was performing.

Randy was such an amazing musician & songwriter. So nice that you got to see him before he died. We all know that Hendrix gave him that name when he was in Jimi's band. Wasn't there another Randy from Texas in the band....so to tell them apart it was Randy Texas and Randy California! So glad he was too young to tour with Hendrix (what was he, 15?), and then formed Spirit with Cass. What a band.

Listened to Clear Spirit last night.

Today it's Black Magic Woman......all of ABRAXAS is damn good!! Oye como va!! (by the other TITO, misty! Tito Puente!)

By the way, have any of you studied the ABRAXAS cover....there's a visual nightmare that would have made Bosch proud!!

Hey :) OH AOL crashed on me several times and each time it did, it also wiped out all my bookmarks plus for some reason, it just ate my Personal Filing Cabinet, twice as well. That's where I had all my logins for everything stored as well as links to website I belong to, etc. I lost a heck of a lot of stuff and couldn't find my way back here. But now I'm found. LMAO (get it) "I once was lost but now I'm found"

The Matrix. I got the Matrix on. I think it's the 2th time since it's release I listened to this one.
I hope the deal works out. And we'll be getting the best quality out there.
So want to hear more.

John Martyn performing at one of his last concerts before his passing. So much sadness by those who loved his work. His vocal style developed over the years into almost a second instrument...the sax. You Agree.

Here's one of my favorites from the Solid Air LP.

"I don't wanna know 'bout evil...." Know this one, misty and all??

Shame on me! I didn't knew about him or his work
You're right, there's so much harmony between the music and his vocals. =)
Great stuff! Thanks for this post, James.

Thanks, SF. His woks are readily available at MusicStack. Here's a bio at Wiki of his 40+ year career.
Extremely influential..the title song "Solid Air" on the same LP was a tribute to close friend Nick Drake....written a year before Nick's death. You really can't go wrong with any of Martyn's albums...a consistently high quality singer/songwriter. Read this and enjoy this next wonderful track....."May you never lay your head down without a hand to hold....."
