At night I walk this stinkin' street past the crazies on my block
And I see the same old faces and I hear that same old talk
And I'm searching for the latest thing, a break in this routine
I'm talkin' some new kicks, ones like you ain't never seen

Cotton Soeterboek Band - Set Me Free
A new American Dutch band which makes fucking fantastic music. Don't know what al these new bands are thinking with their reinventing rock albums. The old classic rock and southern rock still works for me and millions of others. FANTASTIC!

I believe if one day we will have the luck of listening to all these songs sourced from the masters then we will rediscover many more songs. For instance I kinda imagine the thrill I will feel with The End =)

re: misty's "Who needs a smile...."
Your quote is so true, misty. I heard a quote recently condemning the drug companies for their incessant promotion of drugs to make us all HAPPY.
When did it become wrong to feel our full range of emotions, including melancholy?!! What if Poe was on antidepressants...can you imagine him possibly being the posterboy for Hallmark Cards? Or Hamlet on Prozac? Ophelia dancing through a field of wildflowers instead of drowning in them?
Emily Dickinson writing ditties for toilet paper commercials... & Disney?

Down with drug companies giving us the ability to prescribe our own mediations thru doctors that don't have the guts (or full of their own greed) to tell us we don't need anything!! Cigarette commercials are banned from television, but how many are dying from unneeded medications or untested drugs forced thru by the FDA.

Whoops...time for my medications!!

I like Floyd too, Sue & Monique. I recently got early press vinyl LPs of Pipers At The Gates... and Saucerfull of Secrets by post. Nice. "Comfortably Numb" is a great one.

He is a God because I adore him like people adore any God.
