Yeah they are great Scott. I got great memories of that band. Seeing them perform live made me appreciate them even more.jamestkirk wrote:Nice, Mon!MistyJm wrote:Golden Earring Collected

Here's a change of pace.....
Spooky Tooth 1969....."Two". Who else likes this blues rock/r&b/fusion classic band!! ( I refuse the "progressive" label attached to them at Wiki.....just because they can play their instruments like no others?!! I suppose they became more progressive later....but this is pure Rock & Soul!)

This is such a passioned song. I am kinda new to her. Just finding out about her. She has a very special (rough in some of her songs) but beautiful voice.
I've never heard of her, but I sure did like her.
I just saved that video so I don't forget her name, gonna look for her CD

There was a recent movie made about her.....it is in French but I really liked it. She had a rough life for sure.
It was the first time I had ever heard of Piaf ---by the way that means like little sparrow or something of the sort, right?

La vie en rose means in English something like life in pink, looking at life with pink glasses as the saying goes. So basicly it's a love song. The joy of being in love.Lauren wrote:MistyJm wrote: Edith Piaf - La Vie En Rose

Very impressive still by Piaf. Woman with so much charisma.
But as a Dutch it's pretty hard explaining French lyrics in English so excuse moi if I make song meaning mistakes.
