After this song I recommend something lighter. Tom Waits & Iggy Pop in Jim Jarmusch movie 'Coffee&Cigarettes'. The scene is quintessence of it's title.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6Mw6b1T50U

Off topic. Iggy Pop attended Doors concert in Michigan (20.10.1967) and that 'intoxicated' show inspired Iggy to found the Stooges.
Waits is always good...Blue Valentine. "Somewhere"....a video of West Side Story with Tom's cover would be pretty cool! Sorry but that movie is looking really dated...a rumble in ballet shoes? Ha!

My friend saw Iggy and the Stooges back in the day more than a dozen times....he is from Detroit.

Right now some "Rainy Day Dream Away"......the whole side, actually.

"Bluebird"....those guitars!!! Considered the best live band in LA at the time.

What I would give to have heard them live!! Buffalo Springfield. No post at youtube so here is another of my all time favorites!!

"Hung Upside Down"...widely considered one the BEST Rock and Roll songs of all time....this post has all the pops and ticks of old vinyl, but still rocks!! My mono is perfect!!

That fuzz guitar is amazing....with Richie and Steve trading vocals.

 Rock ON!!

Truth & Janey a local 70's power blues band that is in the likes of Hendrix and Cream..whose great lp "No Rest For The Wicked" has gone for $300 here and $3000 in Europe where they are REALLY IN DEMAND.

Guitarist Billy Janey is playing still today and is considered one of the top blues guitarists in the US.

Hard to find anything to share but mp3's and Cds can be easily found at Amazon.com.

Here are a few videos from myspace.....

Just look how Bonnie Rait looks to John Lee Hooker at the start of this duet. He was in his (at least close) nineties!
And at the end: "Any time anywhere you call I'll be there!"

John Lee  His first two on vinyl are two of the most collectible in the universe!
He had no budget on his early recordings, so in order to get that echo with his deep voice, he brought a bathroom fixture into the studio & he sang into a toilet bowl.

The Animals did a passable cover!

John Lee Hooker so great. Boom boom is another great song. Keeps me with my pen hitting my desk and shaking my butt in my chair. Always.

I love his music. I really don't listen to it enough though. I should. It's so mood lifting and pure.

Bonnie Raitt at John Lee Hooker: Now give this man a towel.
They rock.

Great to hear In the mood like this again. Thanks Victor. :D

You have vinyl from John Lee, Scott? :D I don't remember. You have so many.

Covers are always hard to do in my opinion. The animals did it awesome. I adore their version.
