Forever Changes on Tape

I recently bought this tape and thought I'd share it here.I never saw a LOVE tape before.It was released in 1967 and still plays great!

I've always thought Cassettes sound better than CDs...they retained that analog magic. No wall of digital sound...of LOUDness.

Nice find. I see that Love & da Capo were also released on cassette.
Next treasure hunt?

BTW, were the DOORS early albums released on casette in '67, '68....?
I'm guessing, YES. Who has them?

Where the label is ripped on the left side, can you make out what the year is? 1969?

I always thought cassettes went mainstream in the 70s (with 8-tracks reigning in the 60s), but what do I know?

My first Doors recorings - all obtained in the late 70s and early 80s - were on cassette. All long gone :(

It should be 1967. Some cassettes
were released along with albums in the 60's. Even Love's first in '66.
We didn't see them in the Midwest, but I suppose in large markets such as
LA and overseas in London etc....this is a UK release...isn't it? Very cool.

Some were released as early as '64...jazz classical etc. They were
out there....just not en mass.
So does anyone have any original 1967 DOORS cassettes--released in '67??

I like the very simple cassette cover....nothing fancy, unlike later cassette
designs.
