Considering this is only New Zealands second world cup and that goal gave us our first ever world cup point ( I believe at any age level, might be wrong though) it is very understandable that he would celebrate. Hell I don't really watch much sport... if any and I was dancing around the room when he scored it! I don't dance either! lol However he knows the rules (no matter how stupid they are, I mean come on, any man can walk down the street topless and no-one cares) and would have known that it would cost him a yellow card and that's not really fair to the rest of the team. But then again, who gives a ****? I doubt we'll make it any further than the next two games anyway. Did it take anything away from the draw (which NZ is taking as a victory, considering the first ever point)? No way. They are heroes, plain and simple. An Australian paper has tried to claim them as their own... bloody Aussies! Always stealing anything Kiwi! A TV presenter summed up the feeling of the nation after the game by saying "We just won the world cup didn't we?" LOL Plus it is the main story over all the media, so no it wasn't soured byhis celebration. He'll probably be knighted!
The Slovakians were offside when they scored their goal, and boy was I pissed... but then so were our guys when we scored so it all evened out!
Up against Italy next so the high won't last long. But the joy of having a point will last a long time!
I hate that other stupid rule of having to be stretchered off if injured! pffffft
