My favorite cover of "Somewhere" by Tom Waits...maybe Leonard Berstein is turning over in his grave....maybe not. He was a great promoter of young new artists, even rock artists like Tim Buckley.

Dylan is Dylan. I think one of the best cats still around. Love the way he changes the tunes constantly. Like Can't Wait now. It's terrific. I've been rather sad not been able to catch one of his shows during the Eu tour he did in June cauz I've been seeing him (filming) every year or so in the last decade and it was always a treat.

"PAINTED SKY" by the Strawbs
It is OOP but is brilliant. A friend was invited to the two day live studio sessions and it must have been awesome! Hs is such an interesting guy...a legendary LA DJ, he is a friend to Chris Hillman, the late Randy California...lives a couple blocks from ny favorite drummer Ed Cass Cassidy...

He has lunch at a Santa Barbara Mexican brown bag food diner..often with the likes of David Crosby and Jackson Browne...and he is often in attendance at such music events where the famous ones like Jac Holzman hang out.
Interestingly, he has little interest in the corporate guys, the artists are infinitely more interesting he says.

We communicate often...music keeps life full!!
