Guess I've been living on the moon for the last ten years but I've come to know a band that simply blew my mind away. It happened regularly when I was around 10 to 15 but that was 14 years ago. I guess everybody knows what I'm talking about, that is the cultural wasteland rock and roll wise that's been going on for a long long time now. This duo called the Black Keys show some real talent that seemingly wipes off the White Stripes as well and I just can't find words to describe their approach to the vast heritage they actually hold in their catalogue. Still, noone can attack them being a tribute band as they are as original as Led Zeppelin were. I manage to consume all their 6 albums that they presented since 2002 during the past week and have to say it seems they just got started. Albums which got songs as strong you don't wanna skip one.
What do you guys think? I guess some of you might know this band much longer than me...
Here's "Keep Me," my current favourite, but you can try "Lies" for slower attack as well and literary tons of others, no matter which you choose.
